It’s not what you see, it’s what you don’t see…

You can REVERSE your sun damage

The sun is the No. 1 culprit when it comes to aging. It’s easy to see what the sun has done to your skin over time. Compare the skin on the inside of your arm with that on the outside of your arm and on the back of your hands. If you’re like most people, the skin on the inside is smooth, clear, firm and unmarked, while the skin on the outside is “dry roasted”: freckled, dry, finely lined, not as firm, and possibly dotted with brown spots. And if you spend much time driving (in the U.S.), your left arm is probably worse than your right. Skin is simply closer to perfection “where the sun don’t shine.”

The most important thing you can do to keep your skin looking young, not to mention healthy, is never to expose unprotected skin to the sun. Slather your skin with a broad spectrum UVA/UVB sunscreen and apply it often. It’s the ultimate wrinkle cream.

Fact or Myth: “If you work really hard you’ll be ok.”

Myth:  And here’s why.  Working hard at making money will never create wealth. People who work for income work harder and harder, only to be taxed more and more. Forget working hard at making money: All you’ll do is spend it, and then have to work hard all over again. So what do you do, you ask?

You take control.

Most things in life you cannot control. No matter what you do. You can’t control the market. You can’t control your employees. You can’t control the economy. So what can you control? You can control the source of your income. It’s not just about having income today, tomorrow, and next week; it’s about securing your income in perpetuity.  Also known as passive income or residual income.

There is one business model that stands out from the rest. This particular business model creates passive income, but requires relatively little cash investment to start up. It has very low overhead, and can be operated on a flexible part-time basis until it generates enough cash flow for the entrepreneur to transition out of his current full-time job

That business model is called network marketing.

Cranking up the heat

Indoor heaters suck moisture out of the air, making the warm air inside as difficult for skin as the cold air outside. Use a humidifier to keep the humidity indoors around 50%. You also might want to switch to a heavier moisturizer and eye cream to keep skin well hydrated for as long as your heater is running.

I’ve been so cold lately that I take a long hot bath to warm up, but now my skin is really dry and flaky. What should I do?

Help For Your SkinAlthough you may be tempted to take long, hot baths or showers to ward of that winter chill, avoid them; they actually draw moisture out of your skin and make you itchy.  Instead, go for tepid, quick showers.  If you soak in a warm bath, we recommend using bath oil. Other tips: Use a loofah sponge or a body micro-dermabrasion product regularly with warm water to boost circulation and remove dead skin cells. Follow this by applying a heavy moisturizer to damp skin after bathing or showering to seal in extra moisture. Use products containing humectants such as glycerin, ceramides or triglycerides to attract water to skin and hold onto moisture. Keep humidity in your home at about 50% or use a humidifier.
